A Beltain good event where …. we can firm-up our May Day plans for the erection of our May Pole and enter the timely passage of the Marian Maiden within the Welcoming Wood.
The expectant will expect Fire ritual, A May Pole, Garlanded maidens, Holy feasting fare & celebratory incantations. In reality this could be compared to celebratory Christmas parties before Christmas Day has arrived.
May Day is the Big Day of the woodland year. Because the 1st May is on the following Thursday I think we should constrain ourselves to what is appropriate at this event.
Saturday 26th April is the feast day of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the guise of Our Lady of Good Counsel and this aspect will form part of the celebration along with other fiery elements.
The musical theatre looks particularly enthralling with each of the Trinity of Acts (Skullflower, Old Corpse Road, Koma) having played here before and they will be adapting their performances especially for this event.
The advice has to be… Get yourself in Pole Position by telephoning Barry to book on 015395 31014.
Women Bishops are particularly welcome at this event.
£10 gig only. £15 with camping.
